Thomas the Train Cake

I was asked to do a Thomas the Train cake. The cake was a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream in various shades of color. The Thomas the Train toy is plastic as is the red caboose and the sign at the back of the cake. The track was made of crushed grahams as the base, with black licorice and kit kats. The rocks in the water and at the back of the grass are raisinettes. The mountains were made of oreo coated rice krispy treats.

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

A 13x9 chocolate chip cookie, topped with chocolate buttercream frosting and topped with an edible frosting sheet.

Large Cookies n Cream Ice Cream Pie

Usually the Cookies n Cream Ice Cream Pie is made in a regular pie dish, however my daughters love it so I wanted to make a large one for one of their birthdays. So instead of using a store bought Oreo crust, I made my own and then poured the ice cream mixture over it. This "pie" is topped with an edible frosting sheet.

Bert and Ernie-chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and reeses pieces on top

Zoe-carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and edible glitter and sugar carrots

Abby-chocolate cake with fresh strawberry buttercream

Oscar the Grouch-chocolate cake with mint buttercream

Big Bird-banana chocolate chip cake with chocolate buttercream

Elmo-smores cupcake-vanilla cake with marshmallow filling and milk chocolate ganache with crushed grahams on top

Cookie Monster-chocolate chip cookie base, chocolate chip cake with a chocolate chip cookie buttercream and topped with a mini cookie

Sesame Street Cupcake-allergen free vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting (dairy, soy, nut, gluten and egg free)

Thomas the Train 1st Birthday Cake

Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream in various shades. Raisinettes were used as rocks near the water. The train track base is frosting with crushed graham crackers on top, then the track is made from licorice and kit kats. The mountains/hills are rice krispy treats covered in frosting and crushed oreos. The train pieces and sign in the back are store bought.

Kitty Cat Cake

Every year since we moved to Ellington I've donated a cake to the Ellington Fireman's Carnival/Fair that they use at a game to raise money for the Fire Department by winning a cake. This year I made a kitty cat cake. The cake was chocolate with an orange colored vanilla buttercream. I topped it with crushed oreo cookies and decorated the face with m & m's, a heart candy and pink starburst candy.

Peach Pie Cupcake

A vanilla cupcake with fresh peach pie filling (made with Johnny Appleseed peaches) and topped with fresh whipped cream

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cupcake

The base of this cupcake is a chocolate chip cookie topped with a chocolate chip cake. The frosting is a chocolate chip cookie buttercream and is topped with a mini chocolate chip cookie.

Tasting Party

I will be hosting a Tasting Party on Saturday October 22nd from 2-4 pm. This is an adults only event please. You will be sampling some cookies, muffins, scones, breads, and some allergen free items. If I have more time I will also add some additional new cupcakes. The Tasting Party will be at 35 Blueberry Circle Ellington, CT 06029. Please make sure to bring a container to bring leftovers home to friends and family. And all guests are welcome to bring friends with them, please just email me at jmristau@gmail.com with number of guests that will be attending so that I'm adequately prepared.
